One of the many reasons I LOVE Hallmark is for their card competitions. It allows the average person (like me) to attempt to be creative by submitting a card I think Hallmark would enjoy and sell. Remember the movie Mr. Deeds with Adam Sandler?
Well, I am Adam Sandler in this scenario… sort of. I have submitted cards in the past (simply because it challenges me in new areas in design) to no avail, but will continue to do so when the challenge seems appropriate.
The newest design theme from Hallmark is-
Birthday Your Way
Make a birthday card you wish Hallmark made.
A birthday card that can be sent to anyone, guy people, girl people, tall people, freckled people. It can be sweet, serious, funny, cute- sky is the limit!
Those of you who follow this blog will recognize the photo that I will be submitting, from a recent ‘Wordless Wednesday.’ I just feel it is right for a silly birthday card. Let’s face it - some people just don’t like birthdays! What I am asking for is that you leave a comment – sort of like a caption contest – and I will pick the one that is most suited for the card. If, by chance, I do get to be a finalist, then a nice treat will be coming to the person/dog whose comment I use.
Have fun, don’t be shy, and tell me what you really think of Birthdays. I have one coming up in March that I am not too happy about!
