Today our challenge in the 31 Day Days to Building a Better Blog series is focused around writing a ‘list post’. The list post happens to be is a popular and effective tool among online writers who want to put out a lot of content quickly and effectively all while being persuasive, succinct, and without being boring.
\nSo I am going to take this opportunity (while using a ‘list post’) and tell you about an event coming up in our neighborhood; The Seattle Human Society’s Walk for the Animals. This fun event is just around the corner (Sunday, September 25th), and here are a few reasons why we are so excited to be participating in this event!
\n- \n
- \nIt’s a day of fun for people and their dogs to raise critical life-saving funds to provide food, medical care and shelter to the animals in our care.\n \n
- \nThe Walk is a 2.25 mile walk and begins in University Village, and it will take us south to the Union Bay Natural Area Trails and back.\n \n
- You don't need to have a dog to participate, you can simply bring your friends and family for a day of fun, \n
- If you can’t attend you can sign up to be a Virtual Walker or donate online to our fundraising page today! \n
- All registered participated get to wear a 2011 Walk t-shirt and pet bandana! \n
- \n
- I have recruited friends to walk with us. Do they look familiar? \n
- \n
- After the Walk, the popular event FidoFEST will take place. Its a dog-centric afternoon with adoptable pets, kid's activities, pet-related vendors and more, all to benefit the animals at Seattle Humane. \n
- You can enter your dog in various FidoFEST contests such as; Beautiful Baby, Cutest Mutt, Savvy Senior, and Pet-Owner Look Alike. Each contest entry is only $5.00 and all funs go to the Seattle Humane Society. \n
