The Review

For this review I received (after spending many hours on their website looking through merchandise) a Bling Dachshund Framed Tile, Golden Retriever Choice Framed Tile, and a Ceramic Tile Coaster with the print of my favorite artists- Gustav Klimt.

The framed ceramic tile images were designed by different artists, but both have been constructed with a stained cherry wood with rounded edges and offer two holes for wall mounting.  The frame measures 6\" X 6\" x 0.5\" with 4.25\" X 4.25\" tile.  Both tiles are absolutely flawless and beautiful and I am having a hard time finding their perfect location in my home.

 \"\"

The tile Coaster measures 4.25\" x 4.25\" and 1/6-inch thick. The Images are applied with a polyester resin that accepts dye as part of the coating, and four felt pads are placed on the bottom to protect your furniture from scratches. The tile is dishwasher safe, but not for use with abrasive cups and mugs.  This tile is a piece of ceramic artwork at its best and it’s currently livening up my living room as we speak.  It’s one of the prettiest ceramic coasters I have ever seen and I can’t wait to order a few more pieces!

Under The Weather

Well, in the last week here in Seattle, we've had rain, snow, sunshine, and now we're back to rain. The typical late-winter rains are probably going to edge out any blue (or white) sky for the foreseeable future. But, while the title may suggest a meteorological explanation for Luna's 'blues,' the real reason for her sad face is medical; she likely has a Urinary Tract Infection.

\"\"

Several days ago D let Luna out and noted that she squated an inordinate number of times, so he checked her out when she came back in - only to find some blood 'around her special lady parts' (his words). So, before he even got out of bed the next morning, he was on the phone setting up an appointment with the vet.  The doctor wasn't able to get enough urine to test, so D brought Luna home, fed her ice cookies, and tricked her into drinking water.  Then, after about an hour or so we took out and D chased after her with a small container to collect a viable sample - and got it on the first try.

Doctor said there was a lot of blood and a high concentration of white blood cells, both of which could indicate either a UTI or bladder stones.  So, we're now on a 10 day course of antibiotics and good, old fashioned 'wait-and-see.'

13 months (390+ days)

I was having a 'moment' this evening (and apparently was having a not-so-obvious-moment at work) when the realization finally hit that within the last 13 months (390+ days), I’ve only seen my husband for 60 days. 60 DAYS! That means that we’ve been apart for nearly a year… and I am absolutely ready for my husband to come home!

This is the photo that started the water-works...\"\"

This is the face that Luna has been giving me all evening...

...and this is the lovely video my friend at work sent to me.  I hope you enjoy it as much as I did!  I hope you have a wonderful weekend!

a story for tomorrow. from gnarly bay productions, Inc. on Vimeo.
