In the meantime I have actually flipped Penny’s bowl upside
down when feeding her because the design of her current bowl actually produces
the same design and result as a slow feeding bowl. I am actually quite
surprised how many seconds have been added onto Penny’s consumption time. Luna’s bowl is not shaped the same way, so I
am not able to test this out on her, but I can only imagine that having a bowl
designed to slow her down would actually do just that.
Do you have any experience with a slow feeding bowl? If you do I would love to know how it works
out for you.

We all know that dogs who inhale large amounts of food too quickly can develop serious problems such as vomiting, bloat and even death. As of late, I’ve noticed that Luna and Penny are both eating a little too quickly for my comfort. I have separated them in the kitchen during feeding time, hoping to alleviate any rushing, but I’m also considering getting them both a food bowl that is designed to force slow eating. I have been checking out the so called "slow down" bowls on the market and thought I would do a round-up of what's out there. Here are some options I came across in my search.
