My dogs love ice cookies! \nEvery time I am in the kitchen and the freezer door gets opened, I have\ntwo dogs at my feet begging for an ice cookie. \nWhile I think ice cookies are a great way to keep my dogs hydrated, I\nsometimes wonder if the constant crunching on ice can be damaging to their teeth. Now that the weather is consistently\nremaining warmer, and lots of ice cookies will be handed out, I\u2019m trying out\nnew ice treats that should be a little gentler in their mouths.
I had some plain yogurt in the fridge, along with a few left over\nstrawberries, so I decided to combine them together knowing that yogurt is good\nfor maintaining a healthy digestive track. I poured some yogurt into a blender,\nadded a touch of water, and blended until smooth. I took the two leftover\nstrawberries and diced them up. I added the diced strawberries into the mold\nand filled it them with the yogurt blend. The mold I am using is called Chillin Bones that I found at a near by pet store, but currently it's on sale at Amazon for only $6.99! This particular mold is for small bones, which is a perfect size for Penny, but there is a larger one available as well.
After a few hours in the freezer the treats were ready to go and my dogs\nwere eager to try them out. My husband\neven commented that he enjoyed them, so now I\u2019m thinking of making a human\nversion for us to try.
