I’m Elizabeth – a hairstylist, handmade jewelry crafter, dog lover, and Military Wife. Welcome to my little corner of the web. I started my blog in 2088 under the name Dog Blogging with Luna and transitioned to My Life in Blog Years in 2012. Being a Military wife means constant changes - whether home or career – and this blog is a reflection of the many transitions I go through. Call it a mix of all the things that define and inspire me including dogs, photography, travel, and crafting. This is my creative outlet that I can do no matter what my surroundings are. Luna, our Golden Retriever, was born in Marshall, Virginia on June 11, 2008. Luna, which is Spanish for ‘moon,’ is also the name of an old amusement park in my hometown of Seattle.
Penny, our tween-size Dachshund, was born to a breeder somewhere in Washington State, and through unfortunate circumstance was forced into a shelter. D and I found and adopted Penny at an adoption drive held by Gingers Pet Rescue. While we don’t know Penny's actual date of birth, we had declared her birthday to be her adoption date: October 3, 2010.
