My Life In Blog Years

It\u2019s hard to believe that nine months have gone by since we moved\nto Carmel, and that we only have a little more than a year left to enjoy this\nwonderful area. I want to stay here permanently; I don\u2019t even want to think\nabout moving! It\u2019s also hard to believe that we are just now celebrating the one-year anniversary of D's return home from a long training and deployment cycle (he was gone 12 out of 15 months!). \nFortunately - with work and my furry companions - time went by quickly while he was away; unfortunately, at the moment, time seems to be moving just as fast, when I want it to slow down! Because of my husband's work, I don\u2019t ever have a real chance to set down firm roots or build a home - I only have two or three years to get to know my\nneighbors before we pick up and move on. My roots may be short, but I\nam learning to be flexible with them and not take anything for granted.

It looks like my husband and I made it pass the seven year\nitch! It really wasn't all that hard -\neven through his long deployment last year, two and a half cross-country moves,\nten overseas trips (D not me), and even more time being separated. That sounded exhausting didn't it? What can I say, other than my husband is a\nwonderful person who constantly makes me feel loved. My husband and I are not perfect people by\nany means, but I think we both have done a good job at continuing to nurture\nour relationship in a positive way. I\nsee great things happening for us in the future, and I look forward to another\nseven years of marriage.
