Pet Dreams Cratewear Review

My pets spend a lot of time sleeping on my bed.  This is partially all my fault and no fault of their own; however I do blame their cuteness a little bit.  I have been trying to find a way to break this habit and fortunately we recently received a new three piece crate bed set from PetDreams.com to review.  I am absolutely thrilled to introduce this new bedding to Penny, and I am sure it will make our sleeping transition a little easier!
The Classic Cratewear Dog Bedding Set is a complete 3 piece dog crate bed set that comes in a variety of sizes and colors.  I had a hard time choosing which color to review as they are all very nice colors.  We ultimately went with the khaki color as khaki is always a nice neutral to incorporate into any room.
The 3 piece crate set consists of-
  •  A quilted bumper to provide padding for your dog while he/she lies up against the metal bars, while the bumper is secured to the crate with Velcro.
  • A crate pad that is super plush and soft and also filled with bonded fiber which is made for repeated washings.
  • A crate cover that simply fits over the crate in the manner of a table cloth with no front panel so your dog can have a view and plenty of ventilation.

  • The 3 crate bed piece set is completely machine washable
  • The Classic Collection is made of 65% Polyester 35% Cotton fabric and is brushed for a soft finish.
  • To determine the correct Cratewear size for your dog crate bed, simply measure the length from front to back and refer to thier size guide.
The set was easy to install, it fit nicely over our crate, and Penny didn’t waste any time crawling into her new plush bedding set!  This is definitely a keeper, and we have enjoyed it in our room so far! Make sure to check out the other products offered from Pet Dreams!  I have arleady started a Christmas list for my girls!

Sleeping On The Road

Here we are (in beautiful Carmel-By-The-Sea) currently unpacking those 200 boxes we took with us.  We haven’t given ourselves much of an opportunity to explore our neighborhood yet, with the exception of our daily dog walks.  UN packing and weeding out unused goods precedes any fun activity we do at the moment.  Hopefully we will have things in order soon as I am itching (literally with hives) to go out and explore our new town.
Here are just a few (but very beautiful) photos D took of the dogs while traveling.

Good Bye Seattle- For Now

Our life is - again - packed up into 200 boxes, and I think this moving thing actually gets harder over time. My husband says part of it is an accumulation of more things; the other is a failure to rid ourselves of the fluff with each change of station. Whether this is the cause or not, it will be hard to leave my home again (beautiful Seattle), as well as my folks, who have lived so close by.
Two and a half years living in the Pacific Northwest went by so quickly! Since we returned to the area, we welcomed Penny into our home in October 2010. Eight months later my parents brought Tucker home, and then a year later Finley became my mother’s newest addition. D and I have both worked full-time here in Seattle, and for virtually all of last year and into this one, D was deployed on his ship. Fortunately I was able to fill my sparse free time making new friends with the Adventure Weiner Club, and hanging out with my dogs.

(Finley and Tucker)
Carmel, CA looks like it's going to be a very beautiful place to call home, and we are excited to see what life is going to be like living in "a village in a forest overlooking a white sand beach" - where houses have no numbers, postal service provides no delivery, and instead, residents go to the centrally located post office to pick up their mail. If you ask me, this sounds quite charming.

Here we are getting ready to leave Seattle… for those of you who’ve followed us for a few years, this photo may look strangely familiar…

Here we are (sitting on the same red folding chair) getting ready to move from Virginia to Washington in September of 2009.
See you next week from Carmel!
